. In April 2013, the French State Railways (SNCF) launched a new TGV service called “OUIGO” [wiˈɡo]. Given the success of the cost-effective TGV connections, it was decided to apply the same concept to traditional train services. The first “OUIGO Classic” services were launched in spring 2022.
Nine locomotives of the BB 22200 series provide traction for the trains and have been given the striking livery. Second-class Corail carriages are used. As part of the redesign, these carriages were fitted with a storage compartment for two bicycles at one end.
