Novelty 2025: With the T 9.3 in the BR 91.3 version, an all-rounder from the great era of the railway rolls onto the H0 tracks. Successfully used in the prototype in front of freight and passenger trains as well as in shunting service, the PIKO model also impresses on the layout in universal use. In terms of design, the Expert steam locomotive leaves hardly any room for wishes and takes into account all the structural and visual features of the prototype locomotive. The roof of the drivers cab is rounded and the detailed interior can be seen through the windows below. Numerous free-standing components, such as a whistle on the roof, the bell on the boiler and true-to-original lamps and wiring are evidence of modelling at the highest level. The same applies to the running gear area with fine die-cast zinc wheels and the filigree brake linkage.The factory-integrated PIKO PSD XP sound decoder enables the switching of lighting in the drivers cab and running gear area. In addition, a digitally switched, flickering LED in the area of the firebox simulates the red glowing coals. All lighting, including the light change in the direction of travel, is designed using modern, maintenance-free LED technology. The numerous typical vehicle sounds ensure true-to-original model railway operation.
