The WR 360 C 14 diesel locomotives were originally designed by the German Wehrmacht for use at strategically important points used. With the end of the Second World War, she became a civilian all-rounder.
Although, curiously enough, the V 36 was used in West and East Germany under the same name after the war, there were clear differences between the two variants: On the DB, two additional fuel tanks on the engine front increased the range of the locomotive. The DB-V 36 also received a DB-style front radiator grille and a cooling water expansion tank on the front end. The side radiator fan grilles were closed using covers; there was no side maintenance flap on the stem.
The last locomotives, now known as the 236 series, were in use with the DB until 1981.
